Shikhara Kalasha Sthāpanā on 14th February, 2021 at Shrī Guru Mat͟h, Mallāpur

H.H. Shrīmat Sadyojāt Shaṅkarāshram Swāmījī performed the Punaḥ pratis͟ht͟hā, As͟hṭottara Shatakalashābhis͟heka and Gopura Kalasha sthāpanā on the Samārādhanā Diwasa of H.H. Shaṅkarāshram Swāmījī II (14th February 2021) at  Shrī Guru Mat͟h, Mallāpur – A pictorial journey by Deepā Murḍeshwar pāchī With inputs from Shrī Keshav Sorab mām,  Ved Shrī Guru UĪmaṇ Bhaṭ mām and Mallāpur Guruprasād B. Shukla Bhaṭ mām.

The eighth Mathādhipati of our glorious Guruparamparā, H.H. Shrīmat Pāṇḍuraṅgāshram Swāmījī’s extraordinary foresight ushered in a new era that witnessed the prosperity of the Math, and the renovation and restoration of Math-s, Samādhi sthala-s and dilapidated temples. After H.H. Shrīmat Shaṅkarāshram Swāmījī II attained Mahāsamādhi, the restoration rituals within the precincts of the Holy Samādhi and the renovation of the Shrī Guru Math at Mallāpur was duly performed under the watchful eye of H.H. Shrīmat Pāṇḍuraṅgāshram Swāmījī in the year 1836. Many years later, it was reported to H.H. Shrīmat Pāṇḍuraṅgāshram Swāmījī that the Bhaṇḍikerī Math at Gokarṇa required repairs. However, the Shrī Guru Mat͟h at Mallāpur was in want of urgent attention due to an infestation by white ants. Hence, His Holiness went to Mallāpur in November 1914 and camped there for three months. During this period the Chandrāshālā-s were reconstructed and the pratis͟ht͟hā of Lord Bhavānīshaṅkar was performed.

A historic recurrence bearing a striking similarity was witnessed by sādhaka-s at the Divine Sannidhi at Mallāpur on the Samārādhanā Diwasa of H.H. Shrīmat Shaṅkarāshram Swāmījī II Shrī Guru Math, Mallāpur on 14th February 2021 when the Punaḥ pratis͟ht͟hā, As͟hṭottara Shatakalashābhis͟heka and Gopura Kalasha sthāpanā was performed at the Divine Hands of H.H. Shrīmat Sadyojāt Shaṅkarāshram Swāmījī, the eleventh Mathādhipati of Shrī Chitrāpur Math Saṁsthāna.

Here’s a pictorial sequence of events in chronological order that took place in Mallāpur on 14th February 2021.
