नलिकागतमपि कुटिलं न भवति सरलं शुनः पुच्छम् |
तद्वत् खलजनहृदयं बोधितमपि नैव याति माधुर्यम् ||

A dog's crooked tail शुनः कुटिलं पुच्छम् does not become straight न भवति सरलं even after having gone through a tube नलिका + गतम् + अपि
In a similar manner तद्वत्, even after being advised बोधितम् अपि, a bad person's heart खल + जन + हृदयं never goes to ( does not become) न + एव + याति sweet( good) माधुर्यम् |
