A ‘Connectivity’ That Will Never Falter
Yuva-s Saanika Kodial and Mohit Karkal take us on a joyous journey as they describe the various ways in which the deep bond between the Yuvadhara and Shri Chitrapur Math grew stronger and even more meaningful over the last year (July 2025)
The pandemic taught us many things, including how to leverage remote video conferencing technology to continue Math activities, so that we can stay connected to the source of strength that is our Beloved Ekadasha Mathadhipati – Parama Pujya Shrimat Sadyojat Shankarashram Swamiji and our revered Guruparampara. Drawing inspiration from Pujya Swamiji’s insistence on the need for both manan and manthan, online Vimarsha was conducted by Tejashree Bailur on 13th July, 31st August and 28th September, 2024. Under the seamless guidance of Tejashree, yuva-s engaged in enlightening deliberation. Yuva-s from all parts of India and abroad participated in a Chaturmasa Japa Anushthana as well. The newly initiated Aarohanam series comprising weekly Instagram posts of excerpts from H.H. Swamiji’s Ashirvachana-s for yuva-s received great response. The weekly posts continue to be a source of inspiration and guidance highlighting how many of our spiritual practices have practical connotations as well.
Choote na kabhi Tera Saath!
The eagerly awaited Shashtyabdapurthi Utsava was celebrated from 9th to 17th November at SCM Karla. Along with offering seva as volunteers for the Utsava, yuva-s also had the privilege of being part of the Chitrapur Yuvadhara Orchestra 2.0, performed on the 10th of November. The unique format comprising orchestra songs performed in tandem with a skit turned out to be a huge success. As the two-hour program reached its crescendo with ‘Tera Saath’, a vibrant composition by Maithili Padukone and team to pay homage to Pujya Swamiji, the entire audience resonated with the feeling of love and gratitude towards the Math, Our Beloved Guru and Guruparampara . Tera Saath was later declared as the Signature Tune of Shashtyabdapurthi Utsava 2024, and the studio-recorded version was released during the Vardhanti Utsava at Shirali on 6th February, 2025.
Smiles, camaraderie and memories galore…
The Samvit Guru Upasatti Shivir from 20th to 23rd November, 2024 was a short, yet unforgettable sojourn full of invaluable experiences like rock climbing, Ashtamurti Upasana sessions conducted by H.H. Swamiji, and fitness related activities along with seva and trekking. All this in the blissful, serene environs of Sant Sarovar, Mt. Abu. But the fun did not stop there. For the last Shivir of the year 2024, yuva-s made their way to Shirali for the Kara Seva Shivir from 22nd to 29th December.
March 1st, March Fast!
Shishya Sweekar Jayanti was celebrated on 1st March, 2025 at Karla Math, with an inspiring motto of “March first.” Yuva-s volunteered and offered a bhajana-seva, followed by a trek the next day. Visapur Fort proved as an intermediate, challenging feat wherein yuva-s learnt team spirit, resilience, and how to draw strength from God and our Guru to get to the top. Once at the Mahadev Mandir, yuva-s chanted the Daridrya Dukkha Dahana Shiva Stotram before beginning the descent. It was also the day that the Chitrapur Yuvadhara Database form was released, aimed at streamlining and consolidating basic information about yuvas, so important for easier access during future events.
Offering volunteering and bhajana seva-s
During the Chaturmasa festivities in Mangaluru, yuva-s offered bhajana- seva and volunteered at the Math. Mangaluru yuva-s learnt and sang Vande Mataram to celebrate the 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024. During Navaratri on October 7th and 13th, 2024, yuva-s expressed their unbridled joy through impromptu garba at Karla Math. The 164th Chitrapur Rathotsava was celebrated at Shri Chitrapur Math, Shirali from the 7th to the 14th April. Yuva-s volunteered all through and on 14th April, during the night of Mrigabette, offered bhajana- seva from 5 AM to 6 AM. A couple of weeks later, they also volunteered at the Brahmakalashanga Rathotsava which took place at Shri Anantheshwara Temple, Vitthal.
Aarohanam – The drive to do better
Chitrapur Yuvadhara was blessed with many opportunities for seva over the past year. We have learnt from our mistakes, taken course corrections in our stride and all this has only doubled our enthusiasm to do more and do better in the days to come.
We offer all our efforts with love and deep gratitude at the Lotus Feet of H.H. Swamiji, our Guruparampara and Lord Bhavanishankar.
Memories Galore!
