Chitrapur Yuvadhara Shrama Seva
Translating Love into Action
Seva is an integral part of sadhana... Sadhaka-s
in our community have recognised and woven it beautifully
in their lives. Our beloved Guru provides us ample opportunities
to perform seva in several ways.
Yuvadhara has been especially blessed with Shrama-Seva...
With the blessings and guidance of Parama Pujya Sadyojat Shankarashram
Swamiji, Shrama-Seva at Karla Math and Bengaluru Math has
been made possible for youngsters. Offering seva in the Math
reinforces the sense of belonging towards the Math and our
revered Guru Parampara.
Pujya Swamiji has emphasised the importance of seva on several
occasions.
Pujya Swamiji says:

“In seva comes tapas. In seva,
the bhakti, the rasa, the joy, the love we begin
to feel first and then, shushrusha - listening to
Guru, becomes imperative. The basic element of seva is to
listen, do and learn. So as our adhikara, our qualification
improves, we become aware of subtler and subtler things.''
Beginning from June 2011, youngsters from Mumbai, Pune and
Nasik have started performing Shrama-Seva at Karla Math. Exactly
a year later, since June 2012, youngsters from Bengaluru too
have begun to perform this divine seva at Bengaluru Math.
A group of around 10 yuva volunteers enthusiastically carry
out assigned jobs during scheduled weekends. Proper planning
and delegation allow them to experience and share the joy
of working together. In Mumbai, youngsters from a particular
sabha form a team and offer seva.
With all humility and respect, we pray to Parama Pujya Swamiji
to continue to shower His unconditional love and blessings
on us.
May we become nimitta-maatra to offer more such seva-s at
His Lotus Feet!
Om Namah Parvati Pataye Hara Hara Mahadeva!
